Our top 5 websites to plan your trip with Highland Supercars.

You’ve booked your car hire with us so what next?  We would suggest taking a little bit of time to plan your route, where you want to stay and what you’ll visit along the way.

We’ve included some of our top sources of information for you to make the most of your trip.

Firstly you need to look at your route, where do you want to go, what do you want to see.  Thankfully the team at the North Coast 500 have put together some suggested itineraries to make the most of the stunning routes we have in the North of Scotland

True Highlands is another fantastic site full of fabulous places to stay, eat and drink.  They also have a great blog. For stunning images from around the Highlands their Facebook page will definitely give you some inspiration too.

Another factor to consider it the weather.  This can be changeable and thankfully we have a fantastic Facebook page where Lee, who has amazing knowledge of the weather in the Highlands gives fairly accurate forecasts.  He has numerous weather monitoring stations throughout the area to assist with this.  He posts daily on his Facebook page Highlands and Islands Weather.

Thankfully in the Highlands traffic is generally light and congestion is not an issue, however if there’s an accident the diversion can be miles long, so check out the Traffic Scotland website for the latest or tune into the local radio station, MFR which covers the whole of the north.

For other driving trips around Scotland, Visit Scotland have created a range of inspirational trips too. From film locations to island hoping you’ll find it all in Scotland.

All you need to do now is book your car hire and let the planning commence.
